Le Ruisseau is a ceramic duo formed by Églantine Merle and François Marteau.

After studying art, they engaged in sculptural and pictorial practices, as well as contemporary jewelry.

They have retained a taste for the transformation of matter, the expressiveness of the gesture, and an attention to detail. Ceramics is their preferred medium today.

Inspired by Histoire d'un ruisseau, an inspiring work by the geographer poet Elisée Reclus, they are attentive to a familiar nature that they strive to always view with wonder. Their ceramics are associated with natural places conducive to the emergence of the imagination, such as foreshores, caves, or mountains.

Le Ruisseau wishes to honor the fundamental bonds that connect us to nature and to reweave them.
