Le Ruisseau is a ceramic duo formed by Églantine Merle and François Marteau.

After studying art, they embarked on sculptural, painterly, and contemporary jewelry practices.

They retain a taste for the transformation of materials, the expressiveness of gesture, and attention to detail. Ceramics are now their preferred medium.

Inspired by Histoire d'un ruisseau, an inspiring work by the poet-geographer Élisée Reclus, they are attentive to a familiar nature that they strive to always view with wonder. Their ceramics are associated with natural places conducive to the emergence of the imagination, such as shorelines, caves, or mountains.

Le Ruisseau wishes to honor the fundamental bonds that connect us to nature and reweave them.
