Le Ruisseau is a ceramic duo formed by Églantine Merle and François Marteau.

After studying art, they engaged in sculptural, pictorial practices and contemporary jewelry.

They retain a taste for transforming materials, the expressiveness of gesture, and attention to detail. Ceramics is now their preferred medium.

Inspired by "Histoire d'un ruisseau" (History of a Stream), an inspiring work by the poet and geographer Élisée Reclus, they are attentive to a familiar nature which they strive to regard always with wonder. Their ceramics are associated with natural places conducive to the emergence of the imagination, such as shorelines, caves, or mountains.

Le Ruisseau wishes to honor the fundamental links that connect us to nature and to reweave them.
