“Symbiosis” sculpture by Pierre Mura

Unique sculpture made using traditional direct carving technique.

In his practice, Pierre Mura endlessly reproduces the shapes of the moving plant.

In this representation he seeks to transcribe the phenomenon of development of living things in stone material. Through this experience, halfway between abstraction and figuration, he attempts to get closer to the inexhaustible source of life which manifests itself in all things.

Will to power, it is the force that allows the plant inscribed in the crack in the asphalt to grow and persist in its being.

Currently an emerging self-taught artist, he has participated in several exhibitions in Montreal and France. At the same time, he regularly travels to Canada and Italy as part of artistic residencies.
