Athena stone pedestal table by Guillaume Campredon

Athena pedestal table in Saint-Maximin stone by Guillaume Campredon.

Unique piece, direct cut, 2024.

A creation on the border between a work of art and designer furniture, imagined in a contemporary antique spirit, or when Luxor meets Pompeii.

This carved pedestal table represents two owls that join by the wings, a chimera inspired by the symbol of Athens. Eyes like windows to another world of textured feathers and the rest of the column harmonized with the step.

Guillaume Campredon is a French sculptor born in Versailles (France) in 1991. He works mainly with limestone and granite.

He discovered sculpture during his studies in semiotics, and deepened his practice in a self-taught manner. His doctoral thesis defended in October 2021 at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and entitled, "For a theory of the augmented sign, semiotics of the monster in society. The media and political trajectories of the sign and the Pokémon franchise", nourishes his artistic approach in complementarity.

He is one of the winners of the Hermès 2023 academy of know-how dedicated to stone.
