Artist photographer Aurélie Mathigot creates series of photographs printed on canvas and embroidered in certain places.
At the same time, she creates sculptures in rope, wool and cotton, using crochet and integrating everyday materials such as wood and ceramics.
She transforms mineral water bottles into ceramic sculptures, frozen forms that suggest the imprints left by everyday life. Impractical, sealed, they become contemporary relics, similar to bottles lost in the abyss. By reproducing these everyday objects in a fragile and durable material, she questions our relationship to consumption and the ephemeral. Each bottle becomes a silent witness, a fossilized memory of the ordinary things we throw away and that the ocean preserves, transforming our remains into fragments of history.
