Cups of Odu

Two stoneware cups from Odu.

Odu creates sculptural objects that reference everyday objects.

Odu is inspired by the corals, shells and strange fruits of his home country, The Philippines. He evokes fantasized versions of it.

Each texture is obtained by piercing the clay with various more or less sharp tools to obtain organic and living impressions.

The transformation of this smooth and plastic material then becomes mineral, plant or animal.

He favors unique pieces, modeling and cultivates perfect imperfection.
