Viscera Service by Thibault Philip in collaboration with l’Oeil de KO
By summoning the first containers of humanity, made from animal skins and the age-old technique of blown glass, the artist and designer Thibault Philip designs a service whose essence is based on the living and whose aesthetic value comes from what 'ordinary repels.
In an experimental approach, the organs are first molded in plaster before receiving the breath of the glass artisans from the Silicybine workshop. From observation to adjustment, from listening to the material to selection, it is the crossing between art, design and craftsmanship which gives birth to this “visceral” series produced by him for the Oeil de KO and whose edition is limited to 6 copies.
