Ceramic pitcher by Magali Wagner.

Magali Wagner is inspired by all traditional pottery, she seeks a sensitive language, stripped of codes which would allow one to connect to an era, a class, a group or a geography.

It oscillates between the collectible Chawan tea bowl, and the old chipped farm bowl.

Its link with popular traditions makes questions of use and ergonomics very close.

His choices of processes and materials arise from this same search for poetry. She prepares her earth to “nourish” it and prepares her enamels which are for the most part traditional enamels (celadons, shinos, tenmokus, ash and earth enamels, etc.) according to recipes developed by her.
