Le Ruisseau is a ceramic duo formed by Églantine Merle and François Marteau.

After studying art, they became involved in sculptural and pictorial practices and in contemporary jewelry.

They retain a taste for the transformation of materials, the expressiveness of gestures, and attention to detail. Ceramics is now their preferred material.

Inspired by Histoire d'un ruisseau, an inspiring work by the poet-geographer Elisée Reclus, they are attentive to a familiar nature that they strive to always consider with wonder. Their ceramics are associated with natural places conducive to the emergence of the imagination, such as foreshores, caves, or mountains.

Le Ruisseau wishes to honor the fundamental links that connect us to nature and to reweave them.
